J&K's Article 370 to go, Pakistan PM Imran Khan panic-dials Malaysian counterpart

As Home Minister Amit Shah proposed revocation of Artcile 370 that exempts Jammu and Kashmir from following Indian Constitution, baffled Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has called Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad to apprise him of the recent developments in the Kashmir.

As Home Minister Amit Shah proposed revocation of Artcile 370 that exempts Jammu and Kashmir from following Indian Constitution, baffled Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has called Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad to apprise him of recent developments in Kashmir. 

Pakistan has also called for crucial meetings. Earlier, interfering in India's domestic decision, Islamabad "rejected" anuncement to scrap special provision for Jammu and Kashmir. In a statement, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said that Jammu and Kashmir is an "internationally recognised disputed territory."  Furr added, "As party to this international dispute, Pakistan will exercise all possible options to counter illegal steps. Pakistan reaffirms its abiding commitment to Kashmir cause." w a number of crucial meetings has been called.

Here are details of all meeting:

  • First meeting: Pakistan's president Arif Alvi summoned joint session of Parliament on Tuesday. joint sitting, to be held at 11 am (local time) on Tuesday. It is said that session will review tense situation in Jammu and Kashmir and along Line of Control. It will also suggest government a plan of action to deal with fallout of India's decision.
     
  • Second meeting: Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa will hold a meeting of Corps Commanders and discuss security situation even as India exposed attempts of Pakistan to attack Kashmir.  In a joint press brief,Chinar Corps Commander Lt General KJS Dhillon and J&K DGP Dilbag Singh in Srinagar on Friday revealed that y had intelligence inputs that re were attempts of attacks on Amarnath Yatra by Pakistan and that y had recovered IEDs and US made Sniper rifle in route of Amarnath Yatra. Indian government has deployed 38,000 paramilitary troops in Kashmir valley. 
     
  • Third meeting:  Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir would meet in Islamabad to discuss latest situation.
