Jamia Millia Islamia University on Monday issued an advisory asking students to consider returning to ir homes due to Coronavirus threat as a precautionary measure. varsity has also stated that threat of growing virus in Delhi has assumed an alarming proportion.
advisory read, " way threat is progressing in city, places of collective garing like a library, mess, canteens etc. in Jamia are likely to be closed down as precautionary measures. refore, it is advised to all students to understand seriousness of prevailing circumstances and for ir own safety. y may consider proceeding to ir homes for a secured environment and care."

varsity has also suspended classes till March 31 and advised students to avoid large garings.
JNU suspends classes, examination
Meanwhile, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) also anunced suspension of classes and examination till March 31. According to a tice issued by University, events such as seminars, conferences and workshops on campus have also been postponed.

Along with it, Indian Institute of Techlogy (IIT) Delhi on Friday has suspended all of its academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. An official tice issued by institute stated, "As a part of preventive measures against spread of COVID-19, institute has suspended all academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities."

Coronavirus in India
As of date, total number of positive cases in India has soared up to around 110 as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Along with it, two deaths have been reported in Kalaburagi and West Delhi respectively. India has suspended all visas, barring for a few categories such as diplomatic and employment apart from keeping in abeyance visa-free travel facility to OCI cardholders till April 15.

Moreover, Centre has “strongly advised” Indians to avoid all n-essential travel abroad. government is also monitoring all suspected cases and has issued preventive advisories. Earlier on Saturday, Central Government decided to treat deadly virus as a "tified disaster".

Presently, re are over 153,648 confirmed cases of COVID-19 which has led to death of 5,746 people. As re is vaccine or specific antiviral medicine to treat COVID-19, countries have been grappling with all possible mechanisms to contain its scope. So far, China, South Korea, Italy, and Iran have witnessed most number of confirmed cases of vel coronavirus.
