Jamia Millia ripple effect: Here are other Universities that staged anti-CAA protests
The Jamia Millia clashes spark off a series of protests against CAA at universities across India such as Aligarh Muslim University, IIT, BHU and so forth.

On December 15, people protesting against Citizenship Amendment Act clashed with police in New Friends Colony near Jamia Millia Islamia University leaving nearly 60 people injured. Subsequently, re were reports of students being injured and detained as police entered Jamia campus. This sparked off a series of protests across universities in different parts of India. protesters contend that Act seeks to discriminate on basis of religion.

Aligarh Muslim University
protesting students chanted slogans against alleged police action in Jamia and CAA. However, clashes broke out between students and police at Sir Syed gate of University. Just like Jamia, police reportedly entered campus and lathi-charged students. As per reports, at least 60 students were injured.
Patna University
Students of Patna University marched on streets of Bihar’s capital protesting implementation of CAA. In process, a mob injured police personnel and damd some vehicles as well. police registered an FIR against miscreants.

Jawaharlal Nehru University
As soon as news about crackdown on Jamia students spre, various students of JNU decided to stand in solidarity with ir Jamia counterparts. y marched to Delhi police hequarters in large numbers. reafter, y appealed for violence against Jamia students to be stopped.

TISS Mumbai
Post-midnight, students of Tata Institute of Social Sciences carried out a candle-light march. y sang song ‘Sarfaroshi ki Tamanna’- associated with revolutionary Bhagat Singh. students continued to st a protest against CAA and police action in Jamia.
Maulana Az National Urdu University, Hyderab
Students of Maulana Az National Urdu University also condemned police intervention in Jamia and Aligarh Muslim University. On Monday, students again std a protest pertaining to this and criticised CAA also.

Banaras Hindu University
Students in Varanasi protested at midnight in support of ir counterparts at Jamia. y t only spoke out against implementation of CAA but also against prospect of a nationwide National Register of Citizens.

IIT
Students of IIT Bombay carried out a march on December 15 supporting stance of Jamia students. On or hand, IIT Mras students held a protest on Monday expressing ir solidarity. Moreover, y raised slogans against CAA.
Nwa College, Luckw
On Monday, a massive stand-off took place at Nwa college in Luckw, as police tried to seal gates of institution to curb alleged violent protest of students against CAA. students were seen throwing stones, shoes, and slippers at police. Furrmore, students at Javpur University, Presidency University, and Delhi University are likely to st protests later in day.
