J&K: Security Forces Foil Infiltration Bid in Battal Sector, 1 Jawan Injured

Jammu: One jawan was injured as security forces foiled an infiltration bid by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Battal sector on Tuesday morning at around 3 am, as per Republic's sources.
In a post on X, White Knight Corps said that the exchange of fire occurred during the early hours of Tuesday and the exchange of heavy firing.

"Alert troops foiled an infiltration bid by effectively engaging infiltrating terrorists with effective fire in the Battal sector at 0300h. During the exchange of heavy fire, one braveheart has been injured. Operations are continuing," ther post by military unit read.
This incident comes a day after terrorists attacked the residence of a Defence guard and an Army unit which resulted in two injuries, one civilian and one jawan.

Last week, two army personnel were wounded in a gunfight with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda. Terrorists also targeted a temporary camp at a government school in Jaddan Bata village at around 2 am, critically injuring one soldier who was airlifted to a hospital in Udhampur for treatment.
In 2024, a surge in terror attacks across Jammu has been reported resulting in 27 deaths, including 11 security personnel, a village defence guard, and five terrorists. Furthermore, nearly a dozen attacks have occurred in six districts.
