J&K Police Issues Traffic Advisory Ahead of PM Modi's Visit
A traffic advisory has been issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, ahead of the Prime Minister's visit, to prevent congestion and help locals. Apart from the routes closed and diversions, the traffic advisory also mentioned certain parking spots for vehicles because parking on the roadside is not allowed. While emergency vehicles will be permitted to take the shortest route, wrongly parked vehicles will be towed by the police.

The locals have been advised to contact the Traffic Police Control Room at number ‘103’ in case of assistance or help. The traffic advisory also mentions that in case of queries, locals can reach out to the traffic assistance points at Shivpora, Pantha Chowk, Dalgate, Badyari, Rajbagh, Sonwar, Abdullah Bridge, Sangermal, Radio Kashmir, Lalit Grand Palace.

Traffic from Pantha Chowk to Ram Munshi Bagh will be restricted from 4:00 am to 4:00 pm and those travelling to Lal Chowk from Pantha Chowk and vice-versa, must take the alternative route - Pantha Chowk-Nowgam-Sanatnagar-Chanapora-Natipora-Ram Bagh.
During 4:00 am to 4:00 pm, traffic towards Gupkar and Ram Munshi Bagh from Police Golf Course/Hotel Lalit will also remain restricted.

Those travelling to Lal Chowk from Harwan Nishat, must take Boulevard Road through Nehru Park-Dalgate; if you're going to Ram Munshi Bagh from Dalgate, note that the movement on this route will be restricted and you must use Badyari-Dalgate-M.A. Road or R.R. Road.
