Jammu & Kashmir Observes 'Tiranga Yatra', PM Responds

Celebrating India's 78th Anniversary a massive 'Tiranga' rally with approximately 1000 participants took place in Srinagar.

Jammu & Kashmir: Celebrating India's 78th Anniversary a massive 'Tiranga' rally with approximately 1000 participants took place in Srinagar on Monday. 

The 'Tiranaga' rally led by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha was observed to foster nationalism and love for the country. The initiative was marked as a part of the government's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.

The event was set off at the Botanical Gardens by the banks of the Dal Lake. The participants marched towards the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre. The rally terminated with a return march to the Botanical Garden.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to the microblogging site X to share the photos of the event and captioned it "This sentiment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir is going to inspire everyone.''

The schedule after the procession includes a signature campaign and a cultural program.

What is the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign? 

The Har Ghar Tiranaga Campaign aims to raise awareness of the Indian National Flag and increase the sense of Patriotism. The Campaign is scheduled to take place from August 9 to August 15, 2024.
