JCCI blames Pak for selective killings of non Kashmiris by terrorists

Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JCCI) on Wednesday condemned brutal killing of incent n-Kashmiri labourers and truckers by terrorists in Valley and blamed Pakistan for selective killings.

Migrant labourers targeted

Five migrant labourers from West Bengal were shot de by terrorists in Kulgam district of south Kashmir on Tuesday, while critically wounded sixth labourer succumbed to his injury on Wednesday in hospital. Earlier four n-Kashmiri truckers, one fruit merchant and a labourer were killed by terrorists in different terror strikes in South Kashmir. "Unequivocally, we condemn killing of incent truckers and labourers, who are maintaining lifeline for every Kashmiri despite such incidents," JCCI president Rakesh Gupta told reporters. Gupta demanded "substantial and equate monetary compensations" for kin of all deceased.

Blaming "rouge neighbour" Pakistan for killings, Gupta said it is aimed at provoking and inflaming communal feelings and bleed ecomy of state and country. chamber president also welcomed appointment of first Lt Goverr Girish Chandra Murmu and hoped that he would be able to change ground situation in new Union territory of J&K. Gupta said that he was confident that Murmu would provide good governance by bridging divide between common people and ministration and making public servants accountable for ir actions. Gupta also hoped first lieutenant goverr of UT will appoint officers of integrity at important positions and stop practice of untimely transfers which "has become an industry in ministration".

chamber president also urged LG to evolve practice of taking all stakeholders on board and avoid unilateral decisions as was being done recently. He also hoped that "from 1st of vember one nation one tax shall be implemented in letter and spirit without any ifs and buts".
