Jealousy Leads To Moradabad Horror: UP Police Constable Severes Constable Wife’s Head

Moradabad: The gruesome murder of woman constable of the Uttar Pradesh police, Rinki, in Moradabad has sent shockwaves across the state. The police, probing the murder case, have arrested her husband, identified as Sonu, a police constable himself, in the crime along with his brother-in-law. The police investigation revealed that Sonu's suspicion and jealousy towards her wife led him to commit the heinous crime.

During the investigation of the murder case, the UP police found that on October 14, Sonu took Rinki to Moradabad, where he killed her and severed her head from her body. He then threw her body into the Ramganga river. In a bid to cover his crime, Sonu registered a missing report for Rinki at the Civil Lines police station the next day after the murder.

However, when the headless body of a woman constable was discovered on the banks of the Ramganga river in Moradabad on October 17, Sonu refused to identify the body. It was only when Rinki's family members from her maternal home were called that the body was identified.

The police began to suspect Sonu's involvement in Rinki's murder, leading to his arrest and subsequent confession. The accused are residents of Bijnor district and were posted in Rampur at the time of the murder.

As per the police sources, Rinki's husband was posted in the Special Intelligence Unit near the Police Control Room, while she was posted in the women's police station. The couple's marital issues and Sonu's suspicion of Rinki's activities allegedly led to the brutal murder.

The police have lodged an FIR at the Civil Lines police station on behalf of Rinki's mother, Harvati Devi, and are investigating the case further. 

The gruesome murder of the woman constable deployed in the Uttar Pradesh Police was discovered, after her headless body was found in the jungle of Devapur village in Moradabad's Katghar police station area. The victim, identified as Constable Rinki, was posted in Rampur and had been missing for a week. The police had registered a missing report in Rampur's Civil Lines police station and a search was initiated.

The body was found by locals working in the fields, who alerted the UP police. During the search operation, the woman's head was found 30 meters away from the body.

Further legal action is being taken into the matter.
