A massive fire at the Jhansi's Maharani Laxmibai Medical College and Hospital has claimed lives of at least 10 infants.

Jhansi: A massive fire which broke out at Maharani Laxmibai Medical College and Hospital in Uttar Presh's Jhansi has so far claimed lives of 10 newly born. According to reports, over a 100 children were present in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (SNCU Ward) when fire broke out in hospital on Friday night. Chief Minister Yogi ityanath and Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak have shared ir condolence on incident saying it's extremely s and heartbreaking. district ministration and concerned officials have been instructed to speed up relief and rescue operations.
- District Magistrate (DM) Avinash Kumar said that fire broke out around 10.45 pm in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College possibly due to an electrical short circuit.
