Jharkhand CM: Indian's Test series win is a Diwali gift for the nation
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das celebrated India's Test match series win against South Africa and said that it is a Diwali gift for the entire nation.

Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghubar Das celebrated team India's Test match series win against South Africa. He congratulated the team and said that the victory is a Diwali gift for the entire country. Das tweeted in Hindi saying, "Congratulations to Team India on winning the series 3–0 with a stunning victory in the Ranchi Test. This is a Diwali gift for the countrymen. You have provided another opportunity for every Indian to be happy." The match was being played in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand.

Whitewash win
India defeated South Africa in empathetic fashion by an innings and 202 runs, wrapping up the series 3-0. The match ended early on Tuesday morning after Shahbaz Nadeem picked the final two wickets to dismiss de Bruyn and Ngidi. South Africa was forced to follow on in the second innings of the test match after they were bowled out in the first innings for a mere 162 runs. Captain Virat Kohli also highlighted how his team has been at the top of the game in the post-match presser, he said, "We are happy that we have created an environment where people don't think about themselves and think for the team. Such a performance takes place only when the players think for the team and not about themselves. When a player is thinking only about himself then he is under pressure and gets desperate"

The Test series saw the return of Rohit Sharma to red-ball cricket and thee batsman has welcomed the opportunity with his hands wide open. He's scored 529 runs in just four innings, including a double century in the first innings of the third Test match, when he scored 212 runs. Shahbaz Nadeem, who made his Test debut in the Third Test picked four wickets and delivered a total of 10 maiden overs.

Test Championship dominance
The result means that India now has an extremely healthy lead at the top of the World Test Championship points table. The Kohli-lead side top the table with 240 points after two-Test series win and an overall victory of five Test matches. New Zealand and Sri Lanka sit second and third on the table with 60 points each followed by Australia to complete the top four sides.
