Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das salutes jawaans martyred in Naxal encounter
CM Raghubar Das on Friday expressed grief and said that the sacrifice will not go in vain after two police jawans were martyred in encounter with Naxals

After two police jawans were killed in an encounter with Naxals in Jharkhand, Chief Minister (CM) Raghubar Das on Friday expressed grief. He said that the sacrifice of the jawans would not go in vain. Das while speaking to reporters said that, "We will only rest once Naxals are completely eradicated from Jharkhand. Naxalism is breathing its last breath." Following the encounter, the police have launched a search operation to apprehend the Naxals.
'Will eradicate Naxalism completely' CM Das
CM Das had earlier tweeted about the encounter with Naxals in which two jawans lost their life. He saluted their sacrifice and said that the government will eradicate Naxalism from Jharkhand completely. He also said that the government stands by the kin of the deceased personnel.

Jharkhand police face-off Naxals
After receiving a special tip-off, a joint team of Special Task Force (STF) and the Jharkhand police launched an operation near Dassam fall area between Bundu and Namkum on Thursday night. During the early hours of October 4, an encounter between the team and Naxals broke out in which one jawan Kanchan Prasad Mahto, was killed on the spot while another, Akhilesh Ram, was grievously injured. Akhilesh Ram breathed his last at the Medical Hospital where he was taken for treatment. "The Maoists opened fire on the security forces and two of our district jawans suffered bullet injuries. While one jawan was declared brought dead at the hospital, another succumbed during treatment," Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Murari Lal Meena told PTI.
