Expressing his hope over being able to implement the good governance model of the Modi Government in both the Union territories, he said, " After August 5 and after the new dispensation has taken place, I am sure that much of that which is being done in North East in terms of governance, we will be able to replicate that in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
Adding further he also spoke about the development and fast growth of the North-Eastern states of India. "The GDP of Sikkim is more than 20 per cent when at the national level we are struggling to achieve double-digit GDP growth rate in India. I am glad that we succeeded in North East, the North East today is being referred to as a development model of the Modi Government, In his last meeting PM Modi had said that we have to focus on Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, in the same manner, we focussed on the North East," he added.
Dr. Jitendra Singh spoke about how good governance can be a remedy to disturbance that occur because of violence and terror. "Good governance, good development is itself one of the remedies, to this kind of disturbances which are accompanied by violence," he said.
