BJP's general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya on Tuesday alleged that Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government does t follow Indian Constitution. comments by BJP general secretary came after District Magistrate (DM) of rth 24 Parganas Chaitali Chakrabarti asked State Goverr Jagdeep Dhankhar to first take a permission from state government to conduct a meeting with district officials.
" West Bengal government is Mamata Banerjee's government. It does t follow Constitution. If Goverr of state has to take permission it implies that Mamata Ji's law works in West Bengal and t country's law," Vijayvargiya told a news ncy.

'NRC decision will be taken by central government'- Kailash Vijayvargiya
meeting was planned to be conducted at Zilla Parish Guest House in Dhamakhali of rth 24 Parganas district on October 22. When asked wher he agreed with Mamata Banerjee's stance on NRC, Kailash Vijayvargiya said that Central government has power over decision on wher to implement National Register of Citizens (NRC) in West Bengal.

"Mamata Banerjee is Chief Minister of West Bengal and t Prime Minister. It's a central government's decision wher to implement NRC or t, why is she so worried? If Centre decides to implement NRC, she will t be able to do anything about it as it will be central government's decision," he said.
West Bengal CM again expressed her displeasure saying that NRC will t be implemented in state as it will "destroy peace". She also asserted that every person living in state is an Indian Citizen. All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo has always openly opposed implementation of NRC. NRC exercise was recently implemented in Assam. More than 19 lakh people in state were excluded from final list out of 3.29 crore people.
