Having learnt that more than 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred at the Pulwama terrorist attack, Makkal Needhi Maiam party President Mr Kamal Haasan, contacted advisor of Jammu & Kashmir’s Governor Mr Vijaykumar via phone and spoke to him. “We, along with the people of India are observing the dedicated, indomitable spirit of you and your team during this dire circumstance. Each and every citizen of the nation stand by you and support all your actions regardless of political bias,” he assured.

On Thursday afternoon, an IED blast rocked the 70-vehicle convoy carrying CRPF jawans. They were heading from Jammu back to Srinagar. A total of 40 jawans were martyred and many others suffered injuries from the act of terror, whose responsibility has been claimed by Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad.
