Kanpur: A couple in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur has scammed dozens of elderly couples out of Rs 35 crore by falsely promising that an "Israel-made time machine" would make them younger.

Rajeev Kumar Dubey and his wife Rashmi Dubey allegedly lured their customers by offering “oxygen therapy,” claiming it would reverse the effects of aging and pollution when used in the so-called “time machine.”

The couple opened a therapy center, Revival World, in Kanpur, where they openly claimed that their machine, imported from Israel, could transform a 60-year-old into a 25-year-old. They convinced people that pollution was causing them to age rapidly, and their oxygen therapy would rejuvenate them within months.

According to reports, they sold packages priced at Rs 6,000 for 10 sessions and Rs 90,000 for a three-year membership.

One of the victims, Renu Singh, filed a complaint with the police, alleging that she had been cheated out of Rs 10.75 lakh. She also claimed that the couple had defrauded others to the tune of Rs 35 crore.

Following the complaint, the police registered a cheating case under Section 318(4) (cheating) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The authorities are now searching for the couple, with airport officials alerted as the Dubeys are suspected to have fled the country.
