Kargil Vijay Diwas: Indian Navy to welcome visitors on naval vessels in Mumbai and Kochi
The navy's decision comes on the account of Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations where they will welcome visitors onboard of the frontline vessels of the Indian Navy

Visiting an Indian Navy's ship will soon be a reality for many as Indian Navy has decided to open doors for people to visit naval vessels.

As for people of Mumbai, navy has decided that children from fifth gre and above can visit ships on July 26 and opened it for ors on July 27. doors will be open from 9 AM to 3 PM on both days. entry is free of charge and visitors will be given access from Tiger Gate near Mumbai's Ballard Estate.

However, navy has listed some rules which y expect people to follow because of security reasons:
- mobile phones or cameras will be allowed
- handbags will be allowed
- Entry will only be provided with a valid government-issued ID card

In Kochi, hequarters of Sourn Naval Command (SNC), two navy ships will be open for a visit on July 20 and 21 from 9 AM to 5 PM. For commemorative activities, people will be given access to two SNC ships--INS Sutlej and INS Sujata from Mattancherry Wharf, berth Q2 of Cochin Port Trust (CoPT). Similar security measures have been taken in Kochi.
