Karnataka Cabinet in trouble? Tourism Min CT Ravi threatens to quit

Shortly after Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa allotted the portfolios to the ministers in his new Cabinet, sources have told that BJP leader CT Ravi, who was given the Tourism ministry, is not happy with the given ministry and has threatened to resign. Sources have told BJP that CT Ravi has threatened to resign over 'not being given an important ministry'. As per sources, he has also returned the official car allotted to him by the Karnataka government after being appointed the Tourism minister of the state. Besides Tourism, CT Ravi has also been appointed the ministry of Kannada and Culture.
Karnataka gets 3 Deputy CMs
On Monday, Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa allotted the portfolios to 17 state ministers, along with appointing the Cabinet ministers. In a first, Karnataka is going to have three Deputy Chief Ministers, with Govind Karajol, who has also been given the charge of PWD and Social welfare, Ashwath Narayan given the portfolio of Higher Education, IT & BT, Science and Technology, and Laxman Savadi with Transport ministry in the state. The ministers were inducted into the cabinet nearly a week ago. Besides, the Deputy CMs, other ministers who got the cabinet portfolios are Basavaraj Bommai (Home), Jagadish Shettar ( Large and Medium Scale Industries), KS Eshwarappa (f Rural Development and Panchayat Raj,) and R Ashoka (Revenue Department).

Senior ST leader B Sriramulu has been appointed as the Health and Family Welfare Minister, while S Suresh Kumar has been given the Primary and Secondary Education department. Portfolios of other ministers include- V Somanna (Housing), Basavaraj Bommai (Home), Kota Shrinivas Poojari (Muzrai, Fisheries, Ports and Inland Transport), J C Madhuswamy (Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Legislation, Minor Irrigation). C C Patil has been allotted Mines and Geology, H Nagesh (Excise), Prabhu Chavan (Animal Husbandry), and Shahsikala Jolle (Women and Child Development).
