Bengaluru: Following tragic murder of Neha Hiremath in Karnataka's Hubballi, anor incident has surfaced, reportedly involving a girl attempting to end her relationship with a Muslim man from area. man, identified as Aftab, allegedly assaulted girl when she sought to end ir friendship. Aftab, who works as a fruit vendor, has been arrested by police in connection with assault on girl. 

According to police statements, victim revealed that she was introduced to Aftab by anor Muslim girl who was her classmate.

In her statement to police, girl said that Aftab h been persistently following her for a duration of two years, often presenting her with gifts concealed in bags and or items. Initially, she attempted to maintain a friendly rapport with him. However, following tragic murder of Neha, she began to harbour suspicions regarding Aftab's motives. Consequently, she requested Aftab to sever all ties between m, citing her apprehensions.

She ded “Aftab asked me to return all gifts he h given me. When I went to return gifts and asked him to end our friendship, he assaulted me. He hit me with a heavy object on my he in bro daylight on street.”

“When bystanders witnessed attack on me, y intervened and came to my aid. y pulled Aftab away from scene,” she claimed.

victim furr complained to police that Aftab h forcibly given her bags and or items as gifts. ditionally, she asserted that Aftab h exerted pressure on her to maintain relationship against her will.
