Karnataka HC Issues Notice to CM, Others on Plea Seeking Transfer of MUDA Case to CBI

The Karnataka High Court issued a notice to CM Siddaramaiah and others regarding RTI activist Snehamayi Krishna's plea to transfer the MUDA case to CBI.

Bengaluru: Karnataka High Court on Tuesday issued tice to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and ors on a writ petition filed by RTI activist Snehamayi Krishna seeking a direction to transfer MUDA site allotment case to CBI.

Justice M Nagaprasanna, who also issued tice to Siddaramaiah's wife Parvathi B M, bror-in-law Mallikarjuna Swamy, Union of India, State government, CBI and Lokayukta, directed Lokayukta to place on record investigation conducted in case so far.

Meanwhile, Lokayukta police have summoned Siddaramaiah, who is accused number one in case, for questioning on vember 6.

CM is facing allegations of illegalities in allotment of 14 sites to his wife by Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).

Siddaramaiah, his wife, Swamy and Devaraju -- from whom Swamy had purchased a land and gifted it to Parvathi -- and ors have been named in FIR registered by Mysuru-located Lokayukta police establishment on September 27.

Swamy and Devaraju have also deposed before Lokayukta police.
