Karnataka Suspends Former MUDA Commissioner Dinesh Kumar from Services

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has suspended G.T. Dinesh Kumar, the former Commissioner of the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA), who was recently appointed as the Registrar of Haveri University
The suspension, ordered by Uma Devi, Under Secretary to the Department of Personnel and Training, is effective immediately.
Dinesh Kumar is currently under investigation, and he has been instructed not to leave the headquarters without permission.
The suspension follows allegations of irregularities in the MUDA scam, which involve the potential misuse of compensatory residential site allotments. The controversy includes land previously owned by Parvathi Siddaramaiah, the wife of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Additionally, Kumar had received multiple warnings from the Mysore District Commissioner regarding legal violations and site allocations.
As per the reports, Urban Development Minister Byrati Suresh previously transferred four officers including MUDA Commissioner Dinesh Kumar, when the alleged scam came to light erupting huge protests and backlash from the opposition.
