Hubballi: Karsevak Srikanth Pujari who was arrested over 1992 Babri riots and granted bail by the Karnataka Court recently walked out of jail on Saturday.
A Hubballi district and sessions court on Friday granted bail to Shrikanth Pujari, who was detained in connection with a 1992 violence case during the Ram Janmabhoomi agitation, according to media reports.
On January 3, attorney Ashok Anwekar submitted Shrikanth's bail request to the court. While, on January 4, the Town Station police objected to the bail. Judge Parameshwar Prasanna had listened to arguments of the both sides. Shrikanth was granted bail by the judge on Friday afternoon, as per the media reports.
After getting the certified copy of the order, procedures related to release on bail have to completed, and Shrikanth was released from the jail.
