'KCR turned blind eye to TSRTC protests, eyeing assets': Krishna Rao

general secretary of Telangana BJP, Krishna Sagar Rao, has accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao aka KCR of eyeing assets of Telangana State Ro Transport Corporation (TSRTC). He also claimed that KCR has turned a blind eye towards ongoing protest by TSRTC employees. TSRTC staff have been demanding merger of RTC with Telangana Government.
Krishna Sagar Rao’s accusations on KCR Govt
BJP leer has said that Telangana Chief Minister KCR is being irresponsible by keeping quiet on matter. He told news ncy ANI, "Telangana is in a dire financial situation and State is almost bankrupt. Due to lack of funds, KCR is looking to liquidate assets of government corporations. This is why he is eyeing assets of RTC corporations and allowing strike to continue. Is it t his responsibility to initiate discussions with protesting workers? revenues of State have decreased. re is t even eugh money for welfare programs in State. re is a huge confrontation ahe.”

Krishna Sagar Rao attacks Congress
Apart from KCR, Krishna Sagar Rao also targeted Congress party in State for t taking a stand on ongoing protests in Telangana. He said, “Congress Party in Telangana is more an opposition. In last 16 days, entire State is falling apart because of TSRTC strike but Congress is where to be seen. Only BJP is fighting for people and TSRTC employees.” He furr asked Congress party, “Have you me a deal with Chief Minister? re is possibly an alliance between m. That is why Congress is t participating in protests.”

Over 49,000 workers have been on strike since October 5, demanding merger of RTC with government. TSRTC mans state-run buses across Telangana. According to reports, ever since beginning of strike, more than 2,000 busses have remained grounded in State. However, Transport Minister of Telangana, Puvva Ajay Kumar, in an earlier statement clarified that “equate number of buses are plying, and focus w is on collection of bus ticket charges.” After TSRTC employee, Srinivas Reddy, who allegedly died after immolating himself, protests also broke out in different parts of city and or places. employees have also been raising slogans and holding State Government responsible for death of employee.
