'God On My Side Because I'm Honest': Kejriwal First Statement As He Walks Out Of Tihar Jail

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that his confidence has increased 100 per cent after facing all the struggles and hardships.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in his first statement after being released from Tihar jail on bail said that the God is on his side because he's honest. AAP convenor has been granted bail by the Supreme Court in the alleged Delhi liquor policy case with some conditions. Addressing a massive gathering outside the Tihar jail, Kejriwal said that his determination to fight for justice has increased 100 times more.

“I'm free because of the Janata… my conviction is deeper today… I have been fighting the anti-national forces and will continue to do so,” Arvind Kejriwal said as he addressed hundreds of party workers and leaders outside Tihar jail.

“Lakhs of people prayed for me, I thank each one of them. You all have braved rain and come here, I thank everyone. My life is dedicated to the country. Even when I faced a lot of trouble in my life, God supported me, he took me out of every hurdle. He supported me at every step because I was 'Sacha'. That's why God supported me, these people put me in jail,” Kejriwal said.

“They thought that by putting me in jail they will be able to break my strength and resolve. But no jail can break my resolve. I will continue this fight for justice. After coming out of jail, my determination will be 100 times more,” Kejriwal said.

Senior AAP leaders including Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh , Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and hundreds of AAP workers and supporters welcomed Kejriwal as he was released on bail from Tihar jail, amid heavy rainfall.

Kejriwal was received by AAP workers amid dhol beats, and ‘rang de basant chola' songs being played on loud speakers outside the jail.

Kejriwal's key meeting with AAP leaders

According to reports, Arvind Kejriwal , who has been released from jail after a period of six months – excluding the time when he was out on bail for Lok Sabha campaign, in the Delhi liquor policy case, is expected to hold a key meeting with all top leaders of the party at his residence later tonight.

Kejriwal's has been granted bail at a time when Assembly elections in Haryana and Jammu-Kashmir are going to take place next month. The Aam Aadmi Party is contesting elections in both Haryana and Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir.
