Kerala: Class 9 student's painting selected as gender budget document's cover

A class 9 student, Anujath Vinayal, from Thrissur depicted the unpaid work of women in painting and now the artwork is the new cover of Kerala's Gender Budget.

A class nine student, Anujath Sidhu Vinayal, from Thrissur depicted unpaid work of women in painting and w artwork is new cover p of an important government document. According to a local media outlet, Minister Thomas Isaac mentioned Vinayal's painting title 'My Mor and Mors in Neighborhood' while presenting budget allocation for women empowerment. painting has been selected as cover of Budget document of government of Kerala for year 2020-2021.

While speaking to media outlet Vinayal said he h lost his mor, Sindhu, to ill-health last year and his family is yet to recover from her untimely demise. He furr told reporters that he started painting when he was barely four, and it was his mor who identified his interest with brush. He ded that his mor encourd him to make each painting better than previous one.

He also said that his mor's faith and his far's support gives him hope to pursue his painting professionally after he completes his studies. His far reportedly said that he is most proud of me of painting. He said that his son drew painting when he was 10 and artwork still conveys a great mess. Vinayal's family also used to tell him about efforts taken by his mor and all mors around him and in nurturing her children.

According to reports, in February, -specific Kerala Budget Finance Minister allocated Rs 3,809 crore to Women’s Welfare Programmes. Furr, Budget outlay is 18.4 per cent of total outlay which is a marked increase from previous budgets.
