Kerala: Differently-abled artist contributes to CMDRF, wins CM's heart
A differently-abled painter impressed Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan after he generously donated to the CMDRF.

A differently-abled painter impressed Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan after he generously donated to the Chief Minister for the relief and rehabilitation work in Kerala. The painter Pranav Balasubrahmanyan met the Chief Minister at his office and also ed 'selfies' with him.
CM Vijayan 'touched'
Impressed by this gesture, the CM also took to Twitter and said he was touched by Pranav's gesture.
Donated Rs 50,000 in 2018
However, this is not the first time Pranav made headlines. In 2018 Pranav donated Rs 50,000 to the relief fund following the devastating floods. The money had been handed over to Minister AK Balan at an event in September. Pranav Balasubrahmanyan is a painter who excels in painting with his foot.
The Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan launched the CMDRF in 2018 after the state was hit with catastrophic foods in 2018 which left around 480 people dead and 140 were reported missing. It was the worst flood in Kerala after the great flood of 99 that took place in 1924. The state was again hit by devastating floods in 2019. A total of 101 people died in 2019 and more than 2 lakh people were affected and1318 people were shifted to relief camps in different parts of Kerala. The data from the Kerala State Disaster Management states that, as many as 1,789 houses had been damaged. Kerala State Disaster Management Authority, Kerala police along with the Indian Air Force, civilians, volunteers, fishermen from coastal Kerala took part in e rescue operations in flood-affected regions.
