Kerala Floods: Skymet predicts more rainfall, CM Pinarayi Vijayan orders evacuation in red alert areas

Kerala is battling serious floods on account of incessant rains.
Private wear forecaster Skymet has predicted heavy rainfall in Idukki, Malappuram and Kozhikode districts for next 24 hours. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan tweeted and urged people to evacuate from areas which have been given a red alert:

Kerala Disaster Manment Authority also anunced that water-level has increased in Malankara, due to which shutters h to be opened:
"As water level of Malankara Dam is rising, shutters of Malankara Dam have to be opened more. Those on banks of Thodupuzha River warned to be on guard"

In dition, Trissur, Palakk, Wayan, Kannur and Kasaragod have been issued 'Orange Alerts' on Thursday. Meanwhile, floods have alrey claimed lives of two women and as per ground reports, more than 100 people have been evacuated from Malappuram District. Authorities in Malappuram and Wayan districts have declared holiday for educational institutions including colleges, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Anganwis and Mrasas.
