Kerala Temple Fire Accident: Death Toll in Kasaragod Explosion Rises to 4

The death toll in Kerala Temple Fire Accident has increased from two to four; the explosion occurred at a temple in Kasaragod on October 28.

Kasaragod: Two more people have died from injuries suffered in recent fireworks accident at a temple near Neeleswaram in this district, raising death toll to four, officials said on Monday.

Biju (38) and Shibinraj (19), who h been receiving treatment for severe burns at a private hospital in Kozhikode, died on Sunday night.

Earlier, two persons h also died from injuries sustained in accident.

According to Kasaragod district ministration, 154 people were injured in accident and of m, 100 were mitted in various hospitals.

incident occurred late on October 28 night at Anjoottanbalam Veererkavu temple near Neeleswaram when firecrackers stored in vicinity exploded.

Three persons including two temple committee officials have been arrested in connection with incident on Tuesday after a case was registered under Explosive Substance Act and various sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
