COVID-19: IIT Kharagpur students makes videos of WHO guidelines in 12 different languages
Kharagpur IIT students have uploaded videos on YouTube explaining the WHO guidelines on the precautions to be taken in 12 different languages, as per reports.

In a recent incident, Kharagpur IIT students have uploed videos on social media explaining World Health Oragnsiation guidelines on precautions to be taken to contain spre of dely coronavirus. According to reports, y have me video in 12 different langus for people to clearly understand visories.
Vision Prabaho, a students' group kwn for its environmental activities on institutes campus, has uploed videos of WHO guidelines in Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kanna, Kashmiri, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu, a member of organisation reportedy said on March 25.

Guidelines in 12 langus
A member of group, Biswaroop Mondal reportedly said that regional langus will help reach even remotest part of country. He ded that members of group initially uploed video in Bengali for local people. But students of institute urged group to uplo video in or langus too.

Within a day, videos in five different langus were uploed on social media, and in ar two days, count reached 12, he said. A spokesperson for IIT, Kharagpur reportedly said that institute is proud of ir students who are fulfilling ir social responsibilities.

Similarly, as several people are panic buying ‘essential goods’ across globe and demand for hand sanitisers has skyrocketed, Indian Institute of Techlogy (IIT) Delhi me ir own disinfectant.
director, Ramgopal Rao, of IIT Delhi recently took to Facebook to share how institute was facing a short problem and how Chemistry professors prepared hand sanitizers in campus itself. Calling it ‘spirit’ to combat Coronavirus, Rao, in post, informed that within two days campus has 50 litres of hand sanitizers meeting WHO standard.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Consumer Affairs slashed prices of essentials like sanitises and masks in country. government capped price of two-ply masks at Rs. 8 and three-ply at Rs. 10. ditionally, retail price of hand sanitisers of a 200 ml bottle is capped at Rs. 100.
Furrmore, discouraging hoarding of medical masks and hand disinfectant amid pandemic, Centre has stated that stringent action will be taken against those hoarding essential protective equipment.
