'As A Parent, I Resign': Principal of RG Kar Medical College Steps Down Over Kolkata Doctor Murder

Kolkata: Principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, Sandip Ghosh, has resigned from his post.

This comes after horrific rape and murder of a trainee doctor at medical institute, which has led to protests across country, demanding justice for victim.

Referring to ‘Abhaya’ as someone like his own daughter, principal of Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Sandip Ghosh has resigned from his post.

While resigning he said, “I am getting defamed on social media. deceased doctor was like my daughter.”

He furr said, "As a parent, I resign. I don't like that this should happen to anyone in future."

FORDA wrote a letter to Union Health Minister JP Nda where it stated that it would halt its elective services and put forward five crucial demands including increasing safety and security protocols for healthy workers.

Furrmore, "After call from @FordaIndia , All 10 Government Hospitals’ RDA of Delhi are on strike from today. Resident Doctors of Uttar Presh, Punjab and Jammu are also on strike from today. All or state RDAs will join by today," said Dr Meet Ghonia, Secretary, FORDA India.

initial autopsy report res, “re was bleeding from both her eyes and mouth, injuries over face and nail. victim was also bleeding from her private parts. She also has injuries in her belly, left leg… neck, in her right hand, ring finger and… lips.”

accused Sanjoy Roy has accepted his crime and has been arrested; he is in custody and an investigation is underway.
