Kolkata Rape and Murder LIVE Updates: Tensions continue to prevail in West Bengal ahe of massive protest march, 'Nabanna Abhijan,' or march to 'Nabanna' (state secretariat) on Tuesday, August 27, demanding resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over alleged rape of 31-year-old trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Following this, authorities have heightened security arrangements with over 4,000 personnel set to form barrices at different locations across state, as per reports.
Meanwhile, Supreme Court appointed National Task Force is all set to convene its first meeting today, PTI reported citing official sources. As per report, NTF meeting is expected to be attended by all members, where y will recommend ensuring safety and security of medical professionals at ir workplaces.
