Jharkhand HC asks state govt to file response in petition seeking FIR against CM Hemant Soren
The Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday directed the state government to file its response to a petition seeking initiation of an FIR against Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his family for alleged allocation of a mine and land in an industrial area. The criminal writ application pleaded for a direction to the anti-corruption bureau to register an FIR against the CM, his spouse Kalpana Soren and sister-in-law Sarla Murmu.
It was alleged in the petition that Soren misused the office of the chief minister to allocate a mine in his name and plots within the industrial area in the names of his spouse and sister-in-law.

Samajwadi Party leader Mohibbullah Nadvi on Wednesday met those injured in the Karol Bagh building collapse incident in Delhi RML hospital. He saida, "The injured should be given proper medical treatment. I demand that the UP govt to give compensation of a minimum of Rs 15 lakhs each to the families of the deceased. There are complaints that proper treatment is not been given to the injured victims."

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday said that the state government will bring Yuva Niti-2024 policy for the all-round development of the youth, while addressing the 18th convocation of the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) in Jaipur in the presence of President Draupadi Murmu.
Sharma said that the state government is setting new dimensions in the field of education every day. The government will make four lakh government recruitments in the next five years. This year also more than one lakh posts are being recruited.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will move out of his official residence within one week, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said on Wednesday.

Over 37,000 idols immersed in Mumbai as Ganesh festival draws to a close
More than 37,000 idols of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Gauri were immersed in water bodies across Mumbai by Wednesday morning as devotees bade farewell to their favourite elephant-headed deity with the conclusion of the festival, officials said.
The immersion processions, which began on Tuesday morning on the last day of the Ganesh festival, continued smoothly throughout the night, with devotees thronging the city's beaches, lakes and artificial ponds for immersion of the idols.
