Stone Pelting Damages Vande Bharat Express in Himachal; No Injuries Reported
Four coaches of the Vande Bharat Express en route to New Delhi from Amb-Andaura station in Una were damaged when miscreants pelted stones at the train, officials reported on Sunday.
The officials said that no passengers were injured in the incident.

Madhya Pradesh Allocated Rs 14,700 Crore for Railway Development
A sum of Rs 14,700 crore has been allocated to Madhya Pradesh for the development of railways, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Sunday.
The railway minister virtually flagged off a train service from Jaura to Kailaras in the Morena district after the route was converted from narrow gauge to broad gauge. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and MP speaker Narendra Tomar also showed green flags when the train departed from Jaura station.
"Rs 14700 crore has been allocated for the development of railways in MP. Right now, five Vande Bharat trains are running in Madhya Pradesh. In the last 10 years, 222 kilometres of new rail lines, 1200 kilometres of multi-tracking and 707 kilometres of gauge conversion have been completed in MP," he said in his virtual address at the event.

Bypolls on 10 Assembly Seats INDIA Bloc's First Major Test in UP Since LS Gains
Bypolls on 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh will be a litmus test for the INDIA bloc's unity after the group's success in the recent Lok Sabha polls when they won more than 40 seats, significantly contributing to the BJP's failure to win a simple majority in parliament.
However, the two INDIA bloc allies in Uttar Pradesh -- Samajwadi Party and Congress -- have not been able to firm-up a seat-sharing pact for the bypolls even though the Congress has staked claims to contest five of the 10 seats, a proposition the SP may not agree with.
Leaders from both the parties say their aim is to defeat the BJP, and they are confident they would contest the bypolls together.

Ex-Jharkhand CM Champai Soren Hospitalised
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren was hospitalised following blood sugar-related complications, an official said on Sunday.
On Saturday, he was admitted to the Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur around 9 pm.
He was admitted to the hospital after his blood sugar dipped and he felt dizzy, a close aide of the former CM said.
Tata Main Hospital GM Dr Sudhir Rai told PTI that Soren's condition was stable and improving.
Soren, 67, joined the BJP in August, alleging "disrespect" and "humiliation" in the JMM.

18 Cyber Fraudsters Arrested by Hyderabad Police
Eighteen people, who were allegedly involved in as many as 319 cyber fraud cases across the country including Telangana, were arrested in a special operation from different states, the police said on Sunday. The nature of the cases, include investment frauds, digital fraud arrest, sextortion fraud, OTP fraud and insurance fraud to the tune of Rs 6,94,09,661, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand said in a release.

In the first conviction under new criminal laws, the Delhi Police on Saturday claimed to have got a 20-year-old man convicted in a case of burglary, officials said.
Neeraj, a resident of Shakarpur, was booked for burglary under new laws of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), implemented on July 1. He has been awarded three months' imprisonment, the officials said.

10 Die in Flashfloods Triggered by Heavy Rain in Meghalaya
At least 10 people died, including seven of a family, in rain-induced flashfloods that ravaged Meghalaya's South Garo Hills district in the past 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.
Incessant rainfall has triggered landslides in Gasuapara region of the district, they said.
The family of seven were inside their home in the remote village of Hatiasia Songma when a landslide struck, a senior official said.
The deceased include three minors.
