Kolkata Shocker: Woman Found Dead on Staircase After Party, Live-in Partner Held

Kolkata: body of a woman was recovered on Saturday from staircase of a building in Garfa area of Kolkata city, Police official confirmed. police have detained live-in partner of woman and her elder sister after family members alleged that she was murdered.

Authorities reported that deceased, a 37-year-old woman, had been staying with her sister at her partner's flat since Thursday. 

Initial investigations revealed that all three had been consuming alcohol toger. According to a senior officer from Garfa police station, woman allegedly fell while descending stairs late Friday night. 

She was declared dead upon arrival at Bangur Hospital.

"On late Friday night, while climbing down stairs she allegedly fell and hurt herself. She was declared brought dead while taken to Bangur Hospital," official said.

Police have initiated an inquiry and are interrogating both live-in partner and sister regarding circumstances surrounding her death. 

y ted that although woman was married, she had t been living with her husband, adding complexity to investigation.
