Kolkata firing: 1 officer dead as CISF jawan opens fire with AK-47 rifle in Indian Museum
At 6:30 pm, the CISF jawan identified as AK Mishra, a resident of Odisha, started to fire using his service weapon, an AK-47, near the Indian Museum in Kolkata.

In Kolkata, a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan went on a shooting spree on streets on Saturday. At around 6:30 pm, jawan identified as AK Mishra, a resident of Odisha, started to fire using his service weapon, an AK-47, near Indian Museum on Jawaharlal Nehru Road. CISF took over security of museum in December 2019.

re broke a scuffle between Mishra and teams. Over 15 shots are said to have been fired. 1 police officer lost his life while one or recieved injuries in firing. Shortly reafter, CISF jawan surrendered, and has been taken out from spot, as per latest inputs.
'Investigation on,' says Kolkata CP
Commissioner of Police of Kolkata, Vinit Goel addressing media, said, " incident was reported to us around 6:30 in evening.Our team reached here as soon as we got news. We have successfully arrested man. It was possible to convince him and arrest him. An Assistant Sub-Inspector was killed and one Assistant Commandant rank officer has been injured. Investigation going on."
