Ladakh MP inaugurates Indian Army-built road at 18,600 feet connecting Leh to Pangong

BJP’s Lakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal inaugurated a strategically important ro built by Indian Army connecting Zingral to Tangtse via Kela. ro has been built by Indian Army at 18,600 feet high altitude and is set to play a great role in  development of area. ro will significantly reduce 41 km to reach famous tourist spot Pangong lake.

Sharing update, Lakh MP Jamyang took to his official Twitter handle to tweet a video of inauguration ceremony. At ceremony, Lt. Gen PGK Menon General Officer Commanding 14th Corp, ro has been constructed by 58 Engineer Regiment of Indian Army. 

On inauguration, Indian Army said in a statement, " strategically important ro will reduce 41KM travel from Leh (Zingral to Tangtse) to reach Pangong Lake crossing Kela Pass of 18600 feet height connecting Lchagri Gyamtso Lake and Tharuk Village."

Army furr said that ro will play a significant role in improving socio-economic status of people of Lakh's Lalok Region in future, as it would attract tourists for a variety of reasons, including world's highest tourist motorable ro, medicinal plants such as Sanjoeevni, snow sport activities, nomic livestock, a lake, and or attractions.

"During inaugural function held at Kela Top at altitude of 18600 feet, MP Namgyal applauded dedication of Indian Army especially 58 Engineer Regiment for connecting this ro within two months and also highlights seriousness of government of India towards creation of Border Infrastructures especially ros and bridges," ded army.

statement re, that MP Namgyal also congratulated people of Lalok Region, Tourists, and or travellers for this new ro reducing 41km to arrive Famous Pangong Lake. 

World's first movable atre at highest altitude

Earlier, in anor development, a mobile digital movie atre was set up in Lakh on Saturday, making it highest altitude cinema atre in world. mobile digital movie atre is one of its kind and built at such a high altitude. People can now throng into sheltered atre to watch movies. atre inaugurated on Saturday is based at height of 11,562 feet, making Lakh first place to have a atre at such an altitude. movie atre is based in Paldan area of Leh in Lakh. People of Lakh are happy to have ir first digital atre in region.
