iconic Lalbaugcha Raja’s first look was unveiled on Friday ahead of start of Ganesh Chaturthi on September 2, with event being live-streamed on official Lalbaugcha Raja Twitter handle.  me for this year was based on where you could find background projecting planets of Milky Way. re were also two astronauts hanging in background with Vikram Lander of Chandrayaan-2 craft. One could also see a big craft hovering above Ganesh Idol.

This year a huge crowd with media had gared for unveiling of first look of famous Ganesh idol in heart of Mumbai. me of Lalbaugcha Raja was based on ISRO's Chandrayaan-2 which is currently just a week away from attempting a soft-landing on Lunar surface and is seeking to make India just fourth nation to accomplish such a feat.  Lalbaugcha Raja is most famous Ganesh idol in Mumbai with a record number of people, including many celebrities, visiting Lalbaug to seek blessings of Lord Ganesha’s idol.

At unveiling, curtain rises to reveal a majestic idol of Lord Ganesha, though more remarkable aspect is that it is surrounded by two astronauts and Chandrayaan-2's lander. As video progresses, background is revealed to be a massive screen which showcases visuals from various planets and or bodies in solar system, including Jupter, Saturn and its rings.

Chandrayaan-2 closer and closer to Moon:

ISRO updated about Chandrayaan-2 finishing its fourth lunar bound orbit maneuver successfully on August 30 where orbit achieved was 124 km x 164 km. orbit maneuver was completed in 1155 seconds which is exactly 19.1 minutes. next lunar orbit maneuver is scheduled to take place on September 1. Finally, on September 7, Vikram lander will attempt its soft-landing - with  ISRO chief describing moment-of-truth as '15 minutes of terror'

First Look of Khetwadi Cha Raja:

Khetwadi Cha Raja’s first look was revealed to public while Ganesh idol was being taken from Lalbaug’s workshop ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi. Khetwadi Cha Raja’s pandal is oldest which is situated in Girgaon, Mumbai, in 12th lane of Khetwadi. re are many more Ganesh idol pandals in Girgaon which are visited by many devotees every year.
