The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind took to Twitter on Saturday, to wish the Queen of melody, Lata Mangeshkar on her birth anniversary as she turns 90.

The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind took to Twitter on Saturday, to wish the Queen of melody, Lata Mangeshkar on her birth anniversary. Lata Didi, as she is famously called in the industry, has entered the nonagenarian league as she turned 90 on Saturday, September 28. President Ram Nath Kovind, on this occasion, posted a picture of him with her on Twitter to wish her. This picture was taken during his visit to Mumbai in August last month.

The Nightingale enters the nonagenarian league
As famously called, the nightingale of Bollywood, Lata Mangeshkar has turned 90 this year. Few rumours made rounds in 2018 which stated that Lata Didi is going to sing her last song at the age of 90 and retire from music. However, Lata Mangeshkar dismissed all such rumours saying that music is hers' and her family’s life and she will not quit music until her last breath. The Union Minister of Home Affairs, Amit Shah, on Lata Mangeshkar's birthday eve, on Friday, released a compilation of portraits. Apart from this, Lata Mangeshkar will also be honoured with the title of ‘Daughter of the Nation’ on her birth anniversary.

Shreya Ghoshal wishes Lata Didi
Shreya Ghoshal also took to Twitter to wish the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. She called Lata Mangeshkar as her "guru" and her "biggest inspiration". On her 90th birthday, Shreya Ghoshal also said that she was blessed that she could be born in this era, where she could meet and listen to Lata Didi. Apart from this, Sachin Tendulkar also took to Twitter on Saturday morning and shared a heartfelt message for the legendary singer. He in the video said, "I would like to wish you on your 90th birthday. Honestly speaking, I do not remember the first time I listened to one of your songs. I do not think there has been a day when I did not listen to your song. You have always showered your blessings on me. I still remember the time when you gave me handwritten lyrics of 'Tu Jahan jahan chalega'. I will always remember that gift of yours."
