Bharat Ratna Shrimati Lata Mangeshkar took to Twitter on Thursday and in a post, she reminisced about close relationship, her family and her shared with revolutionary Veer Savarkar, she furr wrote that it is because of this close relationship that Savarkar wrote play 'Sanyasta Khag' for her far’s company. play was first showcased on September 18, 1931. It is through this play that song ‘Shat Janma Shodhitana’ became a crowd favourite, she ded.

Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray sparks controversy
Veer Savarkar has been in news recently with Uddhav Thackeray sparking off controversy after stating that he would've 'beaten' Congress leer Mani Shankar Aiyar with a 'shoe' over his infamous 2018 remark on Veer Savarkar. Shiv Sena chief speaking on sidelines of launch of a biography titled 'Savarkar: Echoes From A Forgotten Past', also stated that Pakistan would t have been formed if Savarkar was Prime Minister of country. Back in 2018, Congress leer Mani Shankar Aiyar claimed that Savarkar coined term 'Hindutva'. Moreover, he ded that it was Savarkar, who was first one to propose two-nation ory, inste of Muhamm Ali Jinnah.

NCP's Majeed Memon questions Thackeray
In an effort to dismiss claims of Pakistan never being formed if Savarkar was Prime Minister of country me by Uddhav Thackeray, Majeed Memon asked wher Savarkar was worth becoming Prime Minister of nation at time. He questioned Savarkar's abilities, asking if he would have been able to acquire position of leer of nation at that point of time or if that as a consequence would le to Jinnah t being able to succeed in building Pakistan. Vinayak Damodar Savarkar who is also kwn as Veer Savarkar was an Indian Independence hero, politician, lawyer and formulator of 'Hindutva' philosophy. While he founded Abhinav Bharat Society, which wrote extensively on Indian Independence movement, he was arrested and sentenced for revolutionary activities to two life terms of imprisonment totalling fifty years and was moved to Cellular Jail in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He was later released in 1921.
