Law Student Found Dead In University Hostel In Lucknow, Police Begins Probe

Lucknow: A law student was found de at girl's hostel of Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University. deceased has been identified as Anika Rastogi, daughter of senior IPS officer Santosh Rastogi. Reports said that Anika was lying in an unconscious state on floor of her hostel room and was rushed to Apollo Medics Hospital hostel staff, where doctors declared her de. 

Anika's far, IPS Santosh Rastogi, is an Inspector General in National Investigation Agency (NIA), said reports. Lucknow Commissioner also visited scene late at night to oversee situation.

What H Happened? 

On Saturday evening, Anika participated in client counselling with or students and later went for dinner. After dining, she returned to her hostel room around 9:30 PM. When her roommate arrived around 10:00 PM, door was locked from inside. 

Later, matron arrived and forcibly opened door, finding Anika lying on floor. She was immediately taken to Apollo Hospital, where doctors confirmed her death.

Investigation Underway

Dr. Shashank Shekhar, a spokesperson for law university, said that it appears Anika may have died of a cardiac arrest. 

“She was a bright student who always sat in front row in class. Lucknow Commissioner arrived on scene late at night, and an investigation is underway”, he ded. 

Meanwhile, Anika's parents have arrived from Noida, and body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
