Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's Brother Anmol Arrested in US

California: Anmol Bishnoi, bror of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been taken into police custody in California, US, as per reports.

This development follows a recent proposal by Mumbai police for extrition of Lawrence Bishnoi's younger bror, after US authorities confirmed his presence in country.

Indian agencies have coordination with interpol and efforts will be undertaken to extrite Anmol Bishnoi.

However, Mumbai and Delhi police have not yet issued any official statement on matter.

According to reports from intelligence agencies, a non-bailable warrant was issued against Anmol Bishnoi two weeks ago, and he has now been taken into custody.

Who is Anmol Bishnoi?

Anmol Bishnoi, younger bror of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has gained widespre attention after being placed on National Investigation Agency's most-wanted list, with a ₹10 lakh reward offered for his arrest. 

He has been linked to several high-profile cases, including 2022 murder of Punjabi singer and politician Sidhu Moosewala, shooting outside actor Salman Khan's residence in Bandra in April.

Last month, Mumbai police's crime branch approached special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court, stating that it intends to "initiate extrition procedure of fugitive criminal Anmol Bishnoi."

Mumbai Crime Branch investigation has revealed that following murder of Baba Siddiqui, a prominent leer from Pune was also targeted by Bishnoi gang.

Charge sheets were filed against Anmol Bishnoi, a resident of Fazilka, Punjab , in two cases registered by NIA in 2022. He fled India using a fake passport last year and was believed to be in Cana.
