Mumbai Police Begins Extradition Process to Bring Back Lawrence Bishnoi's Brother Anmol from US
Anmol Bishnoi's name has cropped in many criminal cases, including a shooting outside actor Salman Khan Mumbai 's residence.

Mumbai: In what could be a major breakthrough for the law enforcement in cracking several high-profile criminal cases involving the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, the Mumbai Police have begun the extradition process for the dreaded gangster's brother Anmol Bishnoi. It is learnt that Anmol Bishnoi (25) is currently hiding in the United States.
Anmol Bishnoi's name has cropped in many criminal cases, including a shooting outside actor Salman Khan Mumbai 's residence. Further, the Mumbai Crime Branch has also submitted an extradition request to the Central Government.

The Mumbai Police in a statement said, " Mumbai Police have begun the extradition process for Anmol Bishnoi, linked to several high-profile cases, including a shooting outside Salman Khan's residence. A special court approved the police's application on October 16, and they expect to receive the necessary documents soon. The Mumbai Crime Branch has also submitted an extradition request to the Central Government."
According to media reports, the US authorities alerted Mumbai Police about the presence of Anmol Bishnoi, younger brother of Lawrence, in their country.

The alert prompted the Mumbai Police to begin the process of seeking his extradition and the Crime Branch also approached a special court here last month.
Anmol Bishnoi Linked to Several High-Profile Criminal Cases
With Lawrence being behind bars, all major operations, including the firing outside Khan’s house in April, is beieved to have reportedly been carried out by Anmol.

The 25-year-old’s name also cropped up in the recent murder of Baba Siddique, NCP ( Ajit Pawar faction) leader and former Maharashtra minister, with allegations that Anmol had spoken to the alleged shooter.
Last week, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had announced a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on Anmol. The central probe agency said that the fugitive has 18 cases registered against him, including one where he allegedly provided weapons and logistics support to the killers of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in 2022.

Following the miscellaneous application filed last month, the court allowed the cops to provide it the necessary documents soon. In regard to matter, related documents have been furnished to the Ministry of Home Affairs following which the Ministry of External Affairs will co-ordinate with US authorities.
If the extradition process is approved, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch, which had moved for the RCN, will get Anmol's custody. Incidentally, the Mumbai Police have not got custody of Lawrence Bishnoi who is currently lodged in the Sabarmati prison in Gujarat .
