Undermining Supreme Court's decision to dismiss the petition on Rafale deal, the Left will continue to raise the issue (or non-issue), asking their set of "fundamental" questions which remained "unanswered."

'We will continue to raise the demand'

"I don't want to talk about Supreme Court's decision to dismiss the petition and its observations on some comments but as far as our party is concerned we have some fundamental political questions before the government which remained unanswered. Why HIL or PSUs were ignored and undermined and not allowed for tender and private companies preferred while clinching the deal? We will continue to raise the demand," CPI General Secretary D Raja told Republic TV on Thursday.

The Left parties - CPI and CPIM were among the most vocal parties raising the Rafale issue and had previously taken a potshot at the Centre when the matter had come up for hearing. But now they have either chosen to ignore the verdict or undermine the Apex Court's decision.

'Authorities have gone with fees hike which is not acceptable'

On the out-of-control agitation in JNU, Raja said the situation in JNU had been created by the University authorities. "They are to be blamed. They think that they can run the university in a dictatorial way. After all its a University and students are fighting for a genuine cause and justified. The authorities have gone with fees hike which is not acceptable. Its another attack by BJP to create trouble in JNU."
