Locust attack in two villages of UP's Mahoba

A swarm of locusts attacked trees and crops in two vills in Charkhari area of Uttar Presh's Mahoba district on Saturday, officials said. swarm arrived in Swasamaaf vill on Saturday afteron but vigilant villrs used drums and or means to create ise to scare away locusts and informed officials, Deputy Director (Agriculture) G Ram said.

He said locusts have been present in jungles of Mahoba for past five days and attacking different vills from time to time. According to Ram villrs and farmers have been alerted and agriculture and fire department teams are also on full alert.
