"Look forward to seeing all my friends in Congress sporting Abhinandan ‘taches," says Omar Abdullah on Party's 'national moustache' comment

Omar Abdullah on Monday tweeted about Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury's comment in the Lok Sabha where he said that Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthamanan should be awarded and his moustache must be made 'national moustache'.

Omar Abdullah on Monday tweeted about Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury's comment in the Lok Sabha where he said that Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthamanan should be awarded and his moustache must be made 'national moustache'.

Chowdhury while speaking in the Lok Sabha said that "Abhinandan Varthamanan's moustache should be made 'national moustache'".

Abdullah, candidly and often humorously tweets on the latest news and events, matched the tone to Chowdhury's remark on Abhinandan Varthamanan's moustache with the equal amount of light-heartedness.

The National Conference chief is also known to make tongue-in-cheek remarks while taking sarcastic digs at his rivals.

In May, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a sensational charge on Rajiv Gandhi of misusing India's warship INS Viraat during his rule. He said that it seems as if Prime Minister has a time-machine and therefore he can go back and is contesting the 1989 General elections against Rajiv Gandhi. He also took a jibe saying 'oh to be 19 again'.

Earlier, the former Jammu and Kashmir CM had even tweeted about the series Chernobyl recommending it to his followers on Twitter.

He called the five-episode long show the most compelling TV, he said that one must clear the next evening and binge watch the whole show.
