Lucknow Accident: Speeding SUV Hits 4 in Separate Incidents, Angry Mob Beats Up Driver

Lucknow: On Friday, September 21, a driver hit a pedestrian in Rumi with his car and fled the scene. Shortly after this, the same car hit three other people in Lucknow's Ghantaghar. Triggering panic and anger among the crowd, as the people chased the driver, the car crashed into an e-rickshaw.

As per media reports, the officials confirmed that the driver was intoxicated. The incident occurred late at night at around 11 pm, when the driver Ayushman Upadhyay, a resident of the Para area hit a pedestrian near Rumi Gate.

Police arrived at the spot after hearing about the violent mob and dispersed people.

The four individuals were rushed to hospital for treatment.

Giving further information, ADCP West stated that the people present there beat up the driver of the car and then vandalised his car.

The official added that the police are investigating this incident. ADCP West Vishwajeet Srivastava has given information regarding this incident.
