Amid rising cases of Coronavirus, Dr. Tauseef Khan who was discharged from hospital on Tuesday after being treated for Coronavirus is raring to get back into fight against COVID-19. Dr. Khan is a resident doctor at King George's Medical University in Luckw and was tested positive in March while treating a doctor from Cana at hospital.
"I am best person to work with coronavirus positive patients and make m understand things because I have myself gone through it. I will spend 14-day isolation period at home and will be rey for duty once again," he said. When asked if he was okay with being named in media, he said, "Why t? I have defeated Coronavirus and am coming out of hospital, t from jail."

'A positive frame of mind'
It was on March 11 when first foreigner, a ly doctor from Cana, was mitted to isolation ward, and I was part of team of doctors looking after her, he recalled. "On March 16, he h some se and throat problems. When I told my seniors about it, y got a test conducted and I was found coronavirus positive and mitted in isolation ward on March 17," he said.
Earlier, his relatives and friends h brought food for him at hospital. When he was found to have been infected, he got m tested as well. Three of m tested positive. y are undergoing treatment at KGMU. 'y all will also come out fully recovered soon,' Khan said.

While in hospital's isolation ward for 21 days, he kept in touch with or patients on phone. My friends outside, including doctors, kept me updated on WhatsApp with research going on for finding a treatment for virus, as well as on history of patients who have successfully overcome it," he said.

"Besides keeping me in a positive frame of mind, this information, when shared with or patients, kept m in good spirits. This free time also gave me an opportunity to prepare for postgruate entrance examination," he ded. doctors are going for a higher medical degree.

Though we are a developing country, medical facilities have so progressed that today we can defeat any disease. government has me very good facilities available at KGMU, he said. "re is a separate room for every infected patient with TV, and everything, like food, is taken proper care of," he said.
He vised those in quarantine to maintain social distancing and good sanitation, asking m to follow doctor's' vice for a quick recovery. "I thank almighty, along with KGMU ministration, for regaining my health so quickly," he said.
