LV Prasad Eye Hospital Doctor Dies in Hyderabad Outer Ring Road Accident
Doctor Nilay Reddy, 29, died in a Hyderabad ORR accident after his car hit a divider. Speeding is suspected; police confirm no alcohol involvement.
Hyderabad: A tragic road accident on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Hyderabad during the early hours of Monday, September 30, claimed the life of a doctor from the LV Prasad Eye Hospital.
Dr. Nilay Reddy, 29, a Cornea and Anterior Segment Fellow, died after his car collided with a road divider and veered off the road. He was reportedly on his way to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) from Jubilee Hills when the accident occurred.
"Dr. Nilay Reddy's car was going at about 140 kmph during the time of the accident," according to reports. The speed limit on the ORR is 120 kmph.
The collision took place near Exit 17 of the ORR at approximately 5:00 AM. Police found the doctor’s body in nearby bushes. Investigations suggest the vehicle was traveling at high speed, though authorities confirmed that he was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
The Rajendranagar Police have registered a case and sent the body for autopsy to Osmania General Hospital. The vehicle was towed away from the accident site for further investigation.
