A unique Durga Puja pandal representing the Pulwama attacks, surgical strike, and Balakot airstrike, was decorated at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. The life-size moving representation of the event shows mannequins of terrorists and Indian Army soldiers, firing their guns at each other. Some terrorists dressed in black clothes are depicted as if they were attacking the soldiers. At the end of the tableau, a soldier boards the helicopter and kills the terrorists through an 'airstrike'.

Organiser’s message

Sarvajanik Durga Utsav Samiti is the committee that organised this tableau on such a large scale. One of the organisers, Inderjeet Kapoor told ANI that "Our 40 soldiers were martyred in a terrorist attack in Pulwama. Indian forces had carried out a surgical strike and airstrike in Pakistan. This tableau is a tribute to our forces”.

Earlier, a group of people were seen performing Garba at the VR mall in Surat on September 30. This was a dance group from a Garba class who were trying to create awareness about road safety. The group members explained that "Wearing helmet and seatbelt is for one's own safety and it should be followed by all. It should not be a forceful action by the government as it does not benefit them in any way. People should make it a habit to wear a helmet and seatbelt so that they can enjoy all the festivals for a longer time in their life".

Garba at the airport

Another video surfaced this Navratri that showed a group of people performing Garba in the middle of the Ahmedabad airport at 3 am. Both passengers and the airport staff were seen performing Garba. A similar Garba flash-mob was performed at the SVPI airport last year at both, the international and domestic, terminals. A Vadodra based designer, Rahul Thakkar, also tailored Garba dresses on the theme of abrogation of Article 370 and 35A in Jammu and Kashmir. The Modi fandom was also seen painting their body with the portraits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump during preparations for Navratri.
