Maha morcha against CAA-NRC-NPR in Mumbai

"maha-morcha" protest was organised by Maharashtra chapter of ''National Alliance Against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), proposed National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR)''.

participants came to Azad Maidan from various parts of Mumbai and extended suburbs like Navi Mumbai, Thane as well as or parts of Maharashtra.
Waving tricolour and holding banners deuncing CAA-NRC-NPR in ir hands, protesters raised slogans like "Modi, Shah se Azadi" (freedom from PM Modi and Amit Shah) and "freedom from CAA and NRC".

protesters resolved against showing any documents (during NPR exercise or orwise), saying that y are citizens of India since time immemorial.
Resolutions against CAA-NRC-NPR regime were also passed on occasion.

y demanded that new citizenship law be repealed in current Parliament session.
At st at Azad Maidan, speakers recited ted Urdu poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz''s famous Urdu poem "Hum Dekhenge" (We will see), which has of late emerged as a kind of anm for anti-CAA protests in country.

Women protesters raised slogans like "Hum betiyan hain Jhanshi ki rani ki aur Mata Jijau Ki".
Convener of protest, Justice (retired) Kolse Patil, social activist Teesta Setalvad, actor Sushant Singh, Samajwadi Party leader Abu Asim Azmi etc. were present on occasion.
