Maharashtra building collapse: 4-year-old rescued by NDRF, netizens laud the 'great work'

Internet users are hailing the rescue of a four-year-old boy by the NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) after a five-storeyed building in Raigad collapsed.

Internet users are hailing rescue of a four-year-old boy by NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) after a five-storeyed building in Raig, Maharashtra collapsed.   police have reportedly said that at least 19 persons are still missing and Raig District Superintendent of Police Anil Paraskar told a national ncy that eight people have been rescued from debris. Meanwhile, netizens lauded “great work” done by NDRF and prayed for affected personnel.

four-year-old boy’s rescue ims and a video was posted by Director General of NDRF, Satya Narayan Prhan. He also informed that furr such rescue operations are underway and canines are being used. Calling it a ‘miracle’, Prhan also said that ‘let’s pray’ for many such rescues. five-storey building was nearly a dece-old and h more than 45 flats. Of those who lost ir lives, three were men and five were women.

PM Modi, Amit Shah express sness over building collapse

After building collapsed, Prime Minister Narendra expressed his condolences to families impacted by tragic incident and prayed speedy recovery for wounded. Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah also took to Twitter and informed that he has spoken with DG NDRFHQ to provide all required assistance and deploy teams for rescues. He also wished safety for everyone affected by collapse. 

An official from Mantralaya State Control Room of State Disaster Manment Unit has reportedly said that Tarek Garden building collapsed at Kajalpura in Mah tehsil around 7 PM on August 24. With more than 40 flats in building, rescued people were shifted to a local hospital at Mah that is approximately 170km from Mumbai.

rescue teams are still working through giant debris. Prhan h previously shared visuals from site and all teams are equipped with required gears. Maharashtra government ministers  Aitya Thackeray and Eknath Shinde h visited site on Monday and a case has been filed against contractor of building, Yunus Shaikh along with architect.
